Information we collect

Name, phone number, email address if you provide it, location or postcode, and enquiry details.
Photos, videos, door measurements, site access details, job notes and messages you send by form, email, WhatsApp, phone or social media.
Quote, booking, job, invoice, payment and customer history information if work goes ahead.
Basic website and hosting logs, such as IP address, browser information, request time and pages requested, where generated by our hosting provider for security and operation.

How we use information and our lawful basis

Responding to enquiries and quote requests We use your contact and job details to reply, assess the issue, arrange a survey or provide an estimate. Lawful basis: steps before entering a contract and legitimate interests in responding to your request.

Carrying out work and customer service We use job, access, contact and service history information to deliver agreed work, manage bookings, support warranties and answer follow-up questions. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interests.

Accounts, tax and business records We keep invoices, payments and relevant customer records for bookkeeping, tax and legal requirements. Lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.

Website security and form handling We use hosting and form-processing systems to run the website, prevent spam and receive enquiries. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Marketing We do not currently run a newsletter signup on this website. If we ask for consent for marketing in future, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Who we share information with

We only share personal information where needed to run the business, respond to you, provide services, meet legal duties or protect our rights. This may include website hosting and form-processing providers such as Netlify, email and communications providers, phone and WhatsApp services if you use them, accounting and bookkeeping systems, payment providers, professional advisers, insurers, subcontractors or suppliers where needed for a job, and authorities where legally required.

How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not become work are normally kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up and understand previous contact.
Customer, job, quote, invoice and payment records are normally kept for up to 7 years where needed for tax, accounting, warranty, dispute or insurance reasons.
Website and security logs are kept by hosting and service providers for their normal operational periods.
We may keep information longer if required by law, a dispute, debt recovery, insurance issue or legal claim.
